Program Features
The purpose of Templeton Mini School is to provide selected students with the best education possible so that they can reach their intellectual, personal, social, and career potential. Templeton Mini School is an academic program offering an exciting and challenging learning environment, which has been developed to meet the diversified cognitive, emotional, and social needs of our students. It is designed to develop concepts and attitudes to help students become independent, life-long learners. With a strong focus demanding concentration, effort, and dedication, the Mini School emphasizes social responsibility to school and community.

In the fall, students participate in an outdoor education retreat at Strathcona Park Lodge. Templeton Mini also provides opportunities for individual classes to participate in excursions such as Victoria (grade 10).
English
Students enrolled in Templeton Mini School take English from grades 8-12. Over the course of these 5 years, students will develop and strengthen their analytical and creative thinking and writing skills and be encouraged to challenge themselves.
Social Studies
Students take Social Studies from grades 8-11. Our Mini Social Studies program heavily focuses on critical thinking, community engagement, and leadership.
Science
Students are enrolled in Science 8 in grade 8, and both Science 9 and Science 10 while in grade 9. During those years, students engage in enrichment activities and deepen their knowledge in all areas of science, giving them an excellent base from which to choose which sciences they would like to pursue in their senior years. Students begin studying senior science courses in grade 10.
Mathematics
Students take mathematics in grades 8 and 9. Our Mini Mathematics program offers enrichment and allows students to apply what they are learning to real-life scenarios.
