Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre
Bamfield is a facility dedicated to education and research related to coastal marine sciences. BMSC provides access to a remarkable diversity of marine, terrestrial, freshwater and cultural sites of the North East Pacific basin.
Students go to Bamfield in their grade 8 year for four days. At Bamfield, they will learn and gain hands-on experience about marine life, First Nations culture, and much more. They will also do field research for a tidal pool project to be completed and presented back at school.
